There’s lots to do over the next 4 years and beyond. But with objective, pioneering policy, pace and public participation, we are in a position to do that. Together, we can create an Aotearoa the place smokefree isn’t an aspirational objective but our reality. Making positive there is Māori management and decision-making throughout all levels of the action plan. As part of this focus area, we’re standing up a taskforce to verify the motion plan is on track to achieve the smokefree aim for Māori. Aotearoa is making history with the launch of a daring Smokefree Action Plan that goals to cut back daily smoking prevalence to lower than 5 p.c for all inhabitants teams throughout the motu by 2025.
